HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Swarthmore College's
Dylan Zhang and
Frank Zhou were named to the All-Region III Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America this week.
It is the third career All-Region honor for Zhang while Zhou received the award to cap a terrific rookie season.
Zhang led the Garnet with a 72.9 scoring average, which broke his own program record for a single season. He was the team's top scorer in nine rounds. The senior won the individual title at the Camp Lejeune Marine Intercollegiate and was a tournament runner-up twice. Zhang scored par or better eight times, which equaled the program's single-season mark. His 63 birdies also tied the program record.
Zhou posted the program's second-best scoring average in a season, finishing behind Zhang at 73.7. He had the team's best score in 10 rounds and had a season-high fourth-place showing at the Fernandina Beach Collegiate. The Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year, Zhou carded par or better on seven occasions and was second on the squad with 58 birdies. He was tied for the team lead with four eagles.
