WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's track & field team competed at the Bill Butler Invitational on Saturday at West Chester University. The Garnet placed seventh in the team standings.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Ryan Scott had the top finish for Swarthmore, taking the runner-up spot in the 400 meter hurdles with a career-best time of 55.60.
Handuo Sun ran in the 10,000 meters and took third (38:08.31) with a personal best.

Joey Alander and
Alex Thompson both scored points for the Garnet in the 800 meters, coming in fourth (1:59.90) and sixth (2:00.24) respectively. Both times were personal records.

James Saunders finished fifth in the 110 meter hurdles with a career-best time of 15.60 seconds.
Alan Nichols tied for fifth place in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.68 meters.

Jackson Mejia came in sixth place (3.81m) in the pole vault while
Ethan Rapoport was eighth (11.50m) in the shot put. Rapoport's mark was a personal best.
