Men’s Track & Field Opens Action at Centennial Championships

GETTYSBURG, PA. - The Swarthmore College men's track & field team kicked off the Centennial Championships on Friday night.

Jackson Mejia headlined the afternoon with a fourth-place finish in the pole vault, totaling 4.5 points for the Garnet. The sophomore secured his first career top-five finish at the championship meet. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mejia narrowly missed out on a medal in the pole vault, tying for fourth overall in the event. The sophomore earned points for the Garnet with a top mark of 3.95m.

- Cohen Manges paced the Garnet with a 10th-place finish in the 10,000m run, racing to a time of 31:51.81. Jasper Mosley followed in 12th at 32:11.19, while Spencer Etheridge clocked in at 32:27.02 to grab 14th overall. Mosley set a personal record in the event by over 20 seconds.

The Garnet return to action for tomorrow's second day of the Centennial Championships.
