LANCASTER, Pa. – Swarthmore College's
Archer Manning was chosen the Centennial Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Manning made history at the Haverford Midweek Meet, besting Dick Hall's 75-year-old school record in the long jump. The junior recorded a distance of 7.02 meters to edge out the Swarthmore legend by a quarter of an inch. Manning currently holds the top long jump mark in the Centennial Conference this season.
The Garnet compete at the Centennial Conference Championships this weekend.
