CHESTER, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's track & field wrapped up a cold weekend at the Widener University Danny Curran Invite on Friday and Saturday.

Joey Alander took home the team's top result, finishing second overall in the 3000m steeplechase. The men's team also earned a top-five finish from Cohen Manges in the 10,000m run to headline a strong showing at one of the region's premiere meets. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alander secured a runner-up finish in the 3000m steeplechase. The junior raced to a 9:37.38 mark, finishing just a second off his personal record. 

- Manges finished fourth overall in the 10,000m run. The junior crossed the finish at 30:53.87 to set a new personal record. Spencer Etheridge ran in the same heat, earning 15th at 31:48.28. 

- Wyatt Fell put together a 14th place finish in the javelin throw. The junior recorded a top distance of 48.04 on his second attempt. 

- Archer Manning earned 20th overall in the long jump with a top distance of 6.00m. The mark was recorded on his first attempt. 

- Charlie Schuetz and Kenneth Relovsky finished towards the top half of a crowded field in the 1500m run. Schuetz raced to a 4:08.99 finish, while Relovsky clocked at 4:09.55. The duo placed 21st and 25th, respectively. 

- Teddy King-Pollet raced to a personal best in the 5000m run, finishing with a time of 15:26.55. He finished 31st overall.
