Swimming to Send Program-Record 14 Swimmers to NCAA Championships

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's and women's swimming team will send 14 individuals to the NCAA Division-IIII Championships, announced on Friday morning. The program earned 10 selections on the women's side and four for the men, combining for its largest total in program history.

Maya Ambardekar, Elle Anthony, Riley Bacinski, Danny Castle, Genine Collins, Ava Craig, Cara Dominici, Kate Hallmark, Luke Magnuson, Sam Packard, Norah Rutkowski, Levi Tipton, Quinn Weygandt and Cami Wilson were all selected to represent the Garnet in Indianapolis on March 18-21.

The women's team earned 15 selections and were invited to swim in 10 events, including nods for all five relays. The men's team earned three selections and six invites. Swarthmore is seeded inside the top-five in a combined six events.

An eight-time All-American, Weygandt earned selections for three individual events. The senior secured a pair of top-five seeds, coming in at third in the 400 IM (4:20.71) and fifth in the 200 IM (2:02.43). She is also seeded 21st overall in the 200 butterfly (2:03.74). Weygandt is a three-time All-American in the 400 IM after earning a fourth-place effort and her second-straight, top-five finish at last year's championships.

Collins looks to add to her nine All-American honors with a pair of top-five seedings at this year's championships. The junior earned the team's highest seed, securing the second spot in the 50 freestyle (22.69). She is also seeded fifth in the 100 freestyle (50.40) and earned an invitation to swim in the 100 butterfly. Collins enters the championship meet with back-to-back, first-team All-American finishes in the 50 freestyle, placing third overall in last year's event. The sprinter will also play a crucial role in several of the women's contending relays.

Wilson garnered selections to a pair of individual events on the men's side. The four-time All-American is seeded third in the 100 butterfly (46.91) and 15th in the 50 freestyle (20.03). Wilson claimed first-team honors in last year's 100 butterfly, finishing eighth in the event. He will also swim on the men's 200 freestyle relay, which is seeded 14th.

Anthony qualified for the 100 breaststroke (1:03.55) and 50 freestyle (23.36), earning the 23rd and 27th seeds. She was also invited to swim in the 100 freestyle, and will make an impact on several Swarthmore relays.

Dominici, Hallmark and Rutkowski rounded out the women's individual nods. Dominici is seeded 19th in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.47), while Hallmark is 24th in the 1650 freestyle (17:20.23) and Rutkowski is 27th in the 100 butterfly (55.55).

The Swarthmore women qualified for all five relay events. The Garnet earned its highest seed in the 200 freestyle relay at fourth. They are also seventh in the 400 freestyle relay, 12th in the 400 medley relay, 15th in the 800 freestyle relay and 16th in the 200 medley relay.
