PHILADELPHIA – The Swarthmore College men's indoor track & field team competed at the Widener Schuylkill Showcase on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend was highlighted by a pair of program-record performances from
Theo Teszler.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Teszler broke a 30-year-old mark in the 200 meters with a time of 22.39. He surpassed the previous school record of 22.73 set by Mike Turner in 1996 and finished 14
th in the event. Teszler also improved upon his own program best in the 400 meters, coming in fourth place with a time of 49.10. He eclipsed his time of 49.72 from a year ago.
- The Garnet took three of the top 14 spots in the mile.
Kenneth Relovsky placed fourth with a time of 4:17.74.
Charlie Schuetz and
Alex Thompson both posted personal bests, crossing ninth (4:26.12) and 14
th (4:31.90) respectively.
- In the 5000 meters,
Cohen Manges achieved a career-best time of 15:05.96 and finished fourth.
Spencer Etheridge,
Joey Alander, and
Teddy King-Pollet took 11
th (15:43.32), 13
th (15:51.65), and 16
th (15:58.37) respectively.

Rishi Tella came in 16
th place (6.34m) in the long jump while
James Saunders placed 18
th (9.43) in the 60 meter hurdles.
