STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Cohen Manges was victorious in the 5000 meters to lead the Swarthmore College men's indoor track & field team at the NYC Gotham Cup on Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Manges posted a career-best time of 15:18.29 to earn his first career win in the 5000. He dominated the field, leading at every checkpoint and besting the second-place runner by 20 seconds.
Spencer Etheridge also had an impressive showing in the event, finishing eighth (15:46.16).

Theo Teszler produced a pair of top-15 performances, taking third (49.91) in the 400 meters and 15
th (22.79) in the 200. His 200 time was a personal best and was just 0.06 seconds off the school record.

Jackson Mejia tied for seventh in the pole vault with a height of 3.65m. In the 60 meter dash,
Alan Nichols came in eighth place (7.36) and
Jacob Tavarez was 20
th (7.55).

Ryan Scott took 13
th (1:09.43) in the 500 meters and
Noah St. George placed 19
th (11.93m) in the triple jump.
