WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Swarthmore College golf team finished eighth overall out of 16 teams in a competitive field at the D-III Northeast Elite on Monday. 

Judah Fulchiero ended his afternoon with three-straight birdies to propel himself into a tie for 24th place with Dylan Zhang. The Garnet pairing both shot eight-over-par for the tournament to pace the team. 


HOW IT HAPPENED
- Fulchiero improved 16 spots on the leaderboard with a strong finish to the final round of the tournament. The sophomore carded a 74 (+3) on the afternoon with five birdies, including three-straight to end the round. He finished eight-over for the tournament in 24th place. 

- Zhang wrapped up the tournament at eight-over to finish 24th. The senior shot a 76 (+5) with one birdie and an eagle on the 18th hole. Zhang had an eagle in both rounds as the team combined for four total - three of them on the final hole. 

- Phillip Kim had a strong afternoon to jump 11 spots into 34th overall. The first-year shot a 75 (+4) to finish at 10-over for the tournament. He had three birdies on the afternoon.

- Frank Zhou finished at 11-over-par to place 38th overall. The first-year carded a 79 (+8) to finish play. Fellow rookie Alex Lyu also shot eight-over in the final round. He finished in 45th place at 12-over-par.

- Michael Yuen and Max Ash rounded out Swarthmore's competitors in 52nd and 63rd place, respectively. Yuen carded an 81 (+10) to finish 13-over, while Ash finished with a 82 (+11) at 15-over for the tournament.
