KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Swarthmore College women's soccer team climbed to No. 19 in the United Soccer Coaches Top-25 Poll, released on Tuesday afternoon. The Garnet jumped two spots and have been nationally-ranked in all three weeks to begin the regular season. 

The Garnet currently hold a 4-1-2 overall record after wrapping up a tough stretch of non-conference opponents. Last week, the Garnet dropped a tight battle at No. 17 Rowan, 2-1, while bouncing back with a 2-2 draw against a talented TCNJ squad. 

Swarthmore returned to its winning ways with a massive 2-1 victory at No. 25 Johns Hopkins University on Saturday. The Garnet fell behind early in its Centennial opener, but rallied back with two-unanswered scores to overcome its rival. Ava Gizzie, who has scored three goals in their previous two matches, and Stella Saad provided the scoring in a winning effort.

The Garnet open up a four-game homestand tomorrow against Bryn Mawr College before welcoming Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. The team plays four of its six remaining home games over the next two weeks.
