LANCASTER, Pa. – Swarthmore College's
Melissa Eyer was chosen the Centennial Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Eyer put up outstanding defensive numbers in a 4-1 week for the Garnet. The sophomore combined for 86 digs, while matching a season-high 28 digs in a three-set sweep against Susquehanna University. She led the team in digs in four out of five games, averaging 5.06 per set. Eyer also totaled eight service aces, recording a season-high of three against Misericordia University and Rutgers-Camden. Eyer currently leads the conference in both total digs and digs per set.
Swarthmore hosts William Paterson University on Tuesday night.
