LANCASTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College volleyball team claimed three spots on the All-Centennial Team, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Melissa Eyer was also named the Centennial Defensive Player of the Year for the second season in a row.
Eyer earned her second consecutive All-Centennial First Team honor.
Isabel Adam was a member of the second team for her second career selection while
Keira Miles received honorable mention. In addition,
Jalyn Miller was the Garnet's representative on the Centennial All-Sportsmanship Team.
Eyer led the Centennial with 516 digs (4.91 per set), finishing with 65 more digs than the next-closest player. Her 4.91 average also eclipsed second place by 0.61. She is the fifth player in program history to record 500-plus digs in a single season. Eyer registered 20 or more digs in a match 10 times this year with 25-plus on seven occasions. The sophomore was the Centennial Defensive Player of the Week three times during the campaign.
Adam was Swarthmore's leader with 347 kills, averaging 3.51 per set. She ranked third in the conference in both categories. Adam scored 375 points, which was fourth in the Centennial and her 3.79 points per set was fifth. Adam also tallied 20 service aces, 11 assists, 169 digs, and 12 blocks this year. The sophomore totaled double-digit kills 21 times with a career-high 23 versus nationally-ranked Ithaca College. She was the Centennial Offensive Player of the Week one time. Adam received All-Centennial honorable mention in 2024.
Miles produced 250 kills (2.40 per set) and led the squad with a .262 hitting percentage. She also registered six aces, five assists, 69 digs, and 44 blocks, ranking second on the team in blocks. Miles had 12 double-digit performances in kills with a season-high 16 at Muhlenberg College.
The Garnet went 17-12 and qualified for the Centennial Conference Tournament.
