LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Swarthmore College pitcher
Lilly Goldberg was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Third Team, the organization announced on Wednesday night at the NCAA Division III Championship Banquet in Bloomington, Illinois.
Goldberg is the Garnet's second All-American in program history, joining Gwen Glatz who earned second team honors in 2022. Earlier this week, Goldberg was announced as the NFCA Division III Freshman of the Year.
In her first year at Swarthmore, the Pittsford, N.Y. native went 18-6 in the circle with a 1.18 ERA and 0.89 WHIP across 28 appearances. Goldberg pitched 14 complete games, recorded seven shutouts, and allowed just 26 earned runs in 154.2 innings.
Goldberg struck out 156 hitters while walking just 24, limited batters to 5.16 hits per game, and held opponents to a .198 batting average. She was named First Team All-Region, the Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year, and First Team All-Centennial.
Goldberg helped lead the Garnet to a program-record 33 wins this season, their second Centennial Conference championship in the past three years, and a No. 22 ranking in the penultimate NFCA Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll.
