NEW ORLEANS – The Swarthmore College women's outdoor track & field team placed six athletes on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region Team.
 
Tate Garcia (discus), 
Alyson Goldbacher (pole vault), 
Lydia Morris-Kliment (discus), 
Elizabeth Page (1500 meters), 
Hannah Swale (heptathlon), and 
Trel Trelstad (high jump) all earned the honor. The top five individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top three relay teams.
 
Garcia picked up her second straight accolade in the discus after registering the region's fourth-best throw (40.91m) at the Centennial Championships, winning the event for All-Centennial First Team distinction.
 
Goldbacher tied for fifth in the region in the pole vault, recording a program-record height of 3.10m for 10
th place at Widener University's Paul Donahue Invitational.
 
Morris-Kliment led the region in the discus with a distance of 44.36m at the MIT Final Qualifier. She placed fourth in the event. It is Morris-Kliment's second consecutive All-Region honor in the event.
 
Page was fourth in the region in the 1500 with a time of 4:37.20. She posted the time at the Sam Howell Invitational, crossing the line in 14
th place as the top non-Division I finisher.
 
Swale earned her third consecutive All-Region nod in the heptathlon, leading the region with a school-record score of 4646 points. She won the event at the Centennial Championships and qualified for the NCAA Championships.
 
Trelstad was named All-Region in the high jump for the third time in their career. They posted a program-record height of 1.66m at the Lions Invitational, winning the event and tying for the top spot in the region.
