GENEVA, OH - Swarthmore College track & field standout
Hannah Swale finished with All-American second-team status in the heptathlon to close out the NCAA National Championships on Friday. The junior placed 16th overall in the event with 4,422 points.
Swale opened the afternoon with a 19th-place effort in the long jump, measuring a top mark of 4.86m on her final attempt. The junior then recorded her best finish of the day with a ninth in the javelin throw. Swale recorded a top distance of 32.15m on her second attempt.
Swale sealed all-american status with 18th overall in the 800m run at 2:34.02. She became the program's first all-american since 2023, capturing her first career national honor.
