COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's track & field team competed on day one of the Centennial Conference Outdoor Championships on Friday at Ursinus College. The Garnet sit in eighth place after three events.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Hannah Swale holds the lead in the heptathlon after four events with a score of 2866 points. The junior started off the day with a personal-record time of 15.17 to top the field in the 100 meter hurdles. Swale also was the top athlete in the shot put (11.48m). They took second in the 200 meters (26.50) and placed third in the high jump with a season-best height of 1.54m. The event concludes on Saturday with the long jump, javelin, and 800 meters.

Lee Bickford finished sixth in the hammer throw with a toss of 40.08m.
Vivian Molnar followed in ninth place (36.42m).

Evie Parts ran the 10,000 meters in 41:15.47 to come in 12
th place.
- In the pole vault,
Sophia Springer and
Alyson Goldbacher were 13
th and 14
th respectively with both clearing a height of 2.85m. The mark tied Springer's personal best.
