CHESTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's track & field team wrapped up competition at Widener University's Paul Donahue Invitational on Saturday.
Alyson Goldbacher was the highlight of the day, setting a new program record in the pole vault. She was one of several top-10 finishers for the Garnet.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Goldbacher recorded a height of 3.10m on her first attempt at the mark, surpassing the previous standard of 3.05m set in 2023 by
Sophia Springer. She came in 10
th place. The rookie now holds both the indoor and outdoor program records in the event.

Hannah Swale had a pair of top-10 performances, taking fifth (30.02m) in the javelin and 10
th (15.48) in the 100 meter hurdles. The hurdles time was a personal record.

Elizabeth Page and
Alina Irvine finished seventh (4:44.49) and eighth (4:45.63) respectively in the 1500 meters. Irvine's time was a career best.
- Swarthmore's 4x400 meter relay of
Katelyn Becker,
Ania Wong,
Morgan Mouer, and Page came in seventh place (4:10.40).

Lee Bickford posted a personal-record toss of 42.28m in the hammer throw for eighth place.

Evie Parts set a new top time in the 3000 meter steeplechase, clocking in at 12:16.16 for ninth place.
