LANCASTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's swimming team produced a strong showing at the Franklin and Marshall Invitational over the weekend.
The Garnet finished fourth in the team scoring with 888 points. Swarthmore posted three program top-10 relay performances while
Cami Wilson achieved a NCAA B cut in the 100 fly.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet won the 200 free relay with Wilson,
Danny Castle,
Luke Magnuson, and
Sean Neirynck. The group posted a time of 1:22.75, which ranks eighth in program history.
- Wilson took first place in the 100 fly with a NCAA B-cut time of 47.74.
Dylan Ling finished fifth in the event with a time of 50.54.
- Swarthmore touched first in the 200 medley relay, with
Matvey Ivanov, Ling, Wilson, and Castle recording the sixth-best time for the program (1:30.71). The Garnet earned their third relay win in the 800 free relay. The team of Neirynck,
Matthew Kim,
Sam Peterson, and Castle swam 6:48.83 to sit eighth in the program record book.

Dylan Herink produced a pair of podium performances, taking second (1:51.28) in the 200 back and third (51.56) in the 100 back. Ivanov came in fifth (51.90) in the 100 back after qualifying for the A-final via a swim-off while
Lester Wessels won the B-final, taking ninth overall (52.45).
- Neirynck placed third in the 400 IM with a time of 4:07.45.
Mateo Smith was the winner of the event's B-final for ninth place (4:10.33) and he also touched fourth (4:42.94) in the 500 free.
Jack Boerner finished fourth (1:42.33) in the 200 free.

Theodore Kim advanced to the A-final in two events, taking sixth (16:51.63) in the 1650 free and eighth (2:00.58) in the 200 back.
Jaime Taylor was fifth (16:42.42) in the 1650 free while
Nolan Weygandt had an eighth-place finish (1:56.75) in the 200 IM.
