SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's swimming team moved up to No. 13 in the College Swimming Coaches Association national rankings, released on Friday afternoon by the organization. The Garnet moved up three spots in the poll after opening the season at No. 16.
Swarthmore got off to another fast start this season with a 4-0 overall record. The Garnet opened the season with conference victories over Franklin & Marshall College, Ursinus College, Dickinson College and Washington College. The women's swimming program has won 43-straight head-to-head meets and 42 in a row against conference opponents.

This past weekend, the Garnet sent its top competitors to the Chicago D3Shootout to race against elite competition. The Garnet placed fifth overall at the meet with outstanding performances from
Quinn Weygandt and
Genine Collins. Weygandt
garnered a pair of individual victories and NCAA B-cut times, winning the 400 IM (4:22.74) and the 200 fly (2:04.67). Collins also had a stellar meet, picking up an individual win and a runner-up finish. She touched first in the 50 free with a NCAA B-cut time of 23.02, which also was a meet record.
Weygandt currently leads the country with the fastest time in the 400 IM, while ranking sixth in the 200 fly. Collins also produced the fastest time in the nation in the 50 freestyle, and ranks fifth in the 100 free.
The Garnet look to continue its climb up the rankings with a tough regional battle against Salisbury College, who received top-25 votes in the November poll, on Saturday. Swarthmore will then compete in the Franklin & Marshall Invitational to wrap up November's action.
