GLASSBORO, N.J. – The No. 13 Swarthmore College women's swimming team stayed perfect on the season with a 113-73 victory at Rowan University on Friday evening.
The Garnet racked up five individual wins on the night as
Genine Collins led the way with two triumphs.
Quinn Weygandt,
Ava Craig, and
Maya Ambardekar recorded one victory apiece.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Swarthmore swept the top four spots in the 50 free with Collins (23.61),
Elle Anthony (24.28),
Ainsley Jane Tambling (25.52), and
Sam Packard (25.60). Collins also touched first (57.28) in the 100 fly and
Marin Norlander came in third (1:00.91).
- Weygandt claimed the win in the 100 IM with a time of 1:01.97 and
Norah Rutkowski took third (1:02.56). In the 100 breast,
Annabelle Hoover and Rutkowski finished second (1:09.44) and third (1:09.97) respectively.
Riley Bacinski came in second (53.28) in the 100 free and Weygandt followed in third (54.22).
- Ambardekar was the victor in the 100 back with a time of 59.03.
Elizabeth Turner was third (1:02.39) in the event. Ambardekar and Anthony competed on Swarthmore's mixed 200 medley relay that posted a winning time of 1:38.03.
- Craig triumphed in the 500 free in 5:16.90 and
Emerson Schneider took third (5:29.78).
Margaret Sawa was the runner-up (1:58.40) in the 200 free and Craig touched third (1:58.92). Collins and Packard swam on the mixed 200 free relay that finished second (1:31.57).
