LANCASTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College field hockey team had a program-record five players selected to the All-Centennial Team, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon. In addition,
Annika Hoyer was chosen the Centennial Rookie of the Year.
The Garnet's five honorees bested their previous record of four set last season.
Amelia Landry was named to the All-Centennial First Team while Hoyer garnered second team status.
Liza Semenenko,
Kayla Fink, and
Cassandra Conklin all received honorable mention. Hoyer became the second straight Swarthmore player to be named the top rookie after Fink earned the award in 2024.
Landry grabbed a first team spot for the second consecutive year while Fink picked up her second career All-Centennial selection after being a second team honoree a season ago. It is the first All-Centennial nod for Hoyer, Semenenko, and Conklin. In addition to the All-Centennial Team,
Julia Powell was the Garnet's representative on the Centennial All-Sportsmanship Team.
Landry tied for the team lead with two defensive saves and was second on the squad with six goals. Her six goals and 12 points were career highs. The senior started all 19 games and tallied two game-winning goals. Landry helped Swarthmore rank 23
rd in Division III in shutouts per game and 50
th in goals against average.
Hoyer led the Garnet in both goals (9) and points (19). She scored four game-winners during the campaign, including an overtime tally at No. 23 Ursinus College. The rookie also scored twice in a 3-0 win at No. 19 Haverford College. Hoyer was second in the conference in game-winners and seventh in goals.
Semenenko was first on Swarthmore with six assists, second with 16 points, and third with five goals. She finished ninth in the Centennial in helpers.
Fink started all 19 games and played a strong defensive game in the midfield, helping the Garnet rank 23
rd in Division III in shutouts per game and 50
th in goals against average. She also notched one assist.
Conklin went 10-9 in the Swarthmore cage, posting a 1.51 goals against average and a .681 save percentage. She totaled 62 saves and was second in the conference with eight shutouts. The senior closes her career as the program's all-time shutouts leader with 22.
The Garnet went 10-9, 7-3 in conference, and qualified for the Centennial Conference Tournament, finishing 31
st in the NCAA Power Index.
