COLORADO SPRINGS – The Swarthmore College field hockey team boasted the second-highest team GPA in Division III to earn the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's National Team Academic Award. The Garnet also had 13 individuals recognized for their academic success.
Swarthmore claimed the team accolade by posting a 3.86 team GPA during the fall 2025 semester, finishing behind only Middlebury College (3.90) in Division III. Programs had to compile a GPA of 3.50 or higher to qualify for the honor.

Amelia Landry,
Zoe Larsen,
Julia Powell,
Hannah Ulrich,
Gabriella Vasquez, and
Caroline Vos were named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad for producing a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the fall 2025 semester.
Furthermore, Bloom, Conklin, Fink, and Vasquez came in with a GPA over 3.90 to be selected a NFHCA Scholar of Distinction. It was the second straight year in which Bloom received the honor.
Swarthmore was one of 78 Division III programs to win the National Team Academic Award. The National Academic Squad included more than 1,800 student-athletes from 147 institutions while 543 student-athletes were chosen Scholars of Distinction.
