Men's Lacrosse Headed Back To NCAA Tournament, Travels To Salisbury To Face Endicott

INDIANAPOLIS – The Swarthmore College men's lacrosse team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament, as the bracket was revealed on Sunday night.

The Garnet will take on Endicott College in a second-round matchup at Salisbury University on Saturday. The host Sea Gulls will battle the winner of a first-round matchup between the University of Saint Joseph and SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Saturday's second-round winners will meet in the third round on Sunday.

Swarthmore (14-2) is making back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time in program history and it is the third trip overall for the Garnet. They went undefeated during the Centennial Conference regular season for the first time to earn the top seed in the conference tournament before being upset in the semifinals. Swarthmore has been ranked as high as fourth in the nation this season by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).

Endicott (16-1) was an automatic qualifier as the Commonwealth Coast Conference champion, winning the title for the 11th time. The Gulls bring a 14-game win streak into the tournament. Endicott is making its 12th NCAA appearance but its first since 2021. The Gulls have been ranked as high as 17th by the USILA.

Salisbury (19-0), the defending national champion, brings a 39-game win streak into the national playoffs. The Sea Gulls received the lone Pool B bid as their conference is not eligible for an automatic bid. Salisbury captured its seventh straight, and 26th overall, Coastal Lacrosse Conference title. The Sea Gulls are making their 35th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and 41st in program history. They are the top-ranked team in the nation by the USILA.

Saint Joseph (16-3) earned an automatic bid as the champion of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. It was the Blue Jays' first conference title in program history and they are making their first NCAA appearance as well. They are in the midst of an eight-game win streak.

SUNY Poly (10-6) captured the North Atlantic Conference crown, the second in program history, to grab an automatic bid. Their only other NCAA Tournament trip was in 2021.
