No. 11 Women’s Swimming Places Fifth at D3 Shootout, Combine for Five NCAA B Cuts

CHICAGO - The No. 11 Swarthmore College women's swimming team finished fifth overall against seven nationally-ranked programs at the University of Chicago D3 Shootout on Saturday. The Garnet finished with 532 points, despite being at the disadvantage of not having a diving team.

Swarthmore's women ended the weekend with five NCAA B cuts and seven all-time, top-10 swims. Elle Anthony headlined the meet with two individual B cut swims, and one as a member of the 400 medley relay. The junior put herself in the spotlight on the final day of the meet with a first-place finish and NCAA B cut in the 100 freestyle. She also finished below last season's NCAA invited time.
