LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 9 Swarthmore College women's swimming team traveled to the Franklin and Marshall Winter Invitational over the weekend.
The Garnet came in sixth place in the team scoring and produced numerous program top-10 performances as well as season and career-best times over the three-day meet.
Ava Craig was victorious in the 200 free to lead Swarthmore. She had a pair of program top-five swims in the 200 and 500 freestyles.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Craig touched the wall first in the 200 free with a time of 1:53.22, ranking fifth in program history. She posted the Garnet's fourth-best all-time performance in the 500 free (5:04.25) and won the C-final in the event.

Lauren Rohde recorded a pair of runner-up finishes in the 200 (2:06.68) and 400 (4:31.49) IM respectively. Her time in the 200 IM was the third-fastest in program history while her 400 IM time was a season best.

Genine Collins produced a season-best time of 56.25 for second place in the 100 butterfly. The 800 freestyle relay of Rohde,
Madeline Fox,
Mackenzie Tucker, and Craig also came in second place (7:47.60).

Erin Szuromi made the podium in the 100 backstroke, taking third place (57.45).
Kate Hallmark raced in a pair of A-finals, placing fourth (17:48.73) in the 1650 free and seventh (2:08.20) in the 200 back. Hallmark's time in the 1650 was a season best.

Norah Rutkowski had a fourth-place showing in the 100 butterfly (56.46) while
Maya Ambardekar came in sixth place in the 100 back (58.30). The 200 medley relay of Ambardekar, Rutkowski, Collins, and Szuromi took seventh (1:48.46).

Annabelle Hoover and
Elizabeth Turner each made an A-final and took eighth place in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.62) and 200 backstroke (2:09.27) respectively.
