Men’s Cross Country Places Sixth Overall at Rowan Border Battle

LOGAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Swarthmore College men's cross country team finished sixth overall out of 30 teams at the Rowan Border Battle on Saturday morning. 

Cohen Manges finished inside the top-10 to pace the Garnet. The sophomore placed sixth overall and second among Metro Region challengers with a new personal record in the 8k race. 



HOW IT HAPPENED
- Manges raced to a sixth-place finish with the second fastest time in the region. The sophomore ran a 24:41.1 effort to trim 18-seconds off his previous best. Manges recorded his previous-best at last season's Metro Championships at DREAM Park. 

- Kenneth Relovsky put together a 48th place finish to place second on the team. The sophomore crossed the finish line at 25:49.9 to set a new personal best. Relovsky posted his first sub 26-minute mark and took 16-seconds off his previous record.

- Spencer Etheridge finished just behind Relovsky in 49th place. The sophomore also set a new personal record with a time of 25:50.3. He took 27-seconds off his previous best.

- Teddy King-Pollet claimed 57th overall with a time of 25:55.7. The first-year built on his debut in the 6k with a 41-second improvement from his time at the Paul Short Run. 

- Colin DeLaney placed 62nd overall with a time of 26:01.1. Jasper Mosley then followed in 64th place with a 26:03.8 effort. Mosley set a personal best by six seconds. 

- Luka Opacic-Rodrigues rounded out the team's top-seven finishers with a 71st place effort. The first-year showed significant improvement with a time of 26:15.7, which was 53-seconds faster than his 6k debut at the Paul Short Run.
