Swarthmore put together a stellar season, tallying a 24-16 record overall, 8-8 in conference play. Squeaking into the conference playoffs as the No. 5 seed following two clutch sweeps of Muhlenberg College and Franklin & Marshall College to close out the regular season, the Garnet advanced to championship weekend after dispatching No. 4 Gettysburg College 11-2 in the play-in game. Staying red-hot, Swarthmore kept on rolling, knocking down No. 1 seeded Ursinus College, No. 3 seeded Washington College and then Ursinus again en route to the Centennial crown and a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
Â
Both Randolph-Macon and St. John Fisher secured automatic bids as well, with the Yellow Jackets dispatching Roanoke College for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference top spot, while the Cardinals took care of business against Russell Sage College for the Empire 8 crown. Ramapo earned an at-large bid after the Roadrunners fell in the NJAC finals to TCNJ.
