Women Set 4x400 Program Record, Earn Five First Place Finishes at Haverford

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's track & field team finished first overall out of five teams at the Haverford College Keogh Invitational on Saturday morning.

The women's 4x400m relay set a program record and grabbed first place to highlight a successful morning for the Garnet. Quinn BasewitzKrystle Boadi, Adria Retter and Olivia Montini also collected first place finishes in their respective events. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 4x400m relay of Boadi, Rose Teszler, Garrou and Gabby Johnson set a new program record in the event with a time of 4:04.41. The Garnet also took first overall. 

- Swarthmore took the top-three spots in the 800m dash. Basewitz led the trio with a personal record of 2:23.66 to claim the top spot. Morgan Mouer followed with a 2:24.77 finish, while Alina Irvine was third at 2:25.09.

- Boadi and Hannah Garrou took the top two positions in the 60m dash. Boadi claimed the top spot with a time of 8.07, while Garrou followed with a personal record of 8.34. 

- Retter won the shot put with a top mark of 13.20m. Tate Garcia also placed fifth in the event with a personal record of 10.78m. 

- Montini and Emily van Assendelft finished first and second in the mile run. Montini crossed the finish line at 5:38.56, while van Assendelft recorded a mark of 5:39.41.

- Iliana Gonzalez placed second in the 5000m run with a time of 20:39.10. It was the first-year's first collegiate appearance in the event.  

- Miranda Kashynski placed third in the 200m dash with a personal record of 28.27. 

- Cami Bortz set a new personal record in the 400m dash with a time of 1:07.02. She placed fifth overall in the event.

- Cat Crochunis-Brown set a personal record in the 3000m run with a time of 11:18.15. She took home fifth place in the event. 

- Lily Fournier took second in the triple jump with a mark of 9.53m, while Leila Kirton was fourth in the long jump with a top distance of 4.63m.

The Garnet travel to the Princeton Invitational on Sunday.
