LANCASTER, Pa. - Swarthmore College Softball senior, Luke Mutz, was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for his performance this past week. 

Mutz extended his on-base streak to 24 games and has recorded a hit in 23 of those 24 contests. He helped the Garnet capture the top seed in the Centennial with two RBIs, a triple and his first collegiate homer in the finale versus Franklin & Marshall. Mutz hit .588 this week with 10 hits and six extra base hits. The senior was the regular season champion in batting average and stolen bases. He was also excellent in the field this weekend and turned a couple key double plays.

The Garnet return to action on Thursday afternoon as they host Johns Hopkins University in the first round of the Centennial Conference Tournament. First pitch for the top-seeded Garnet is set for 3:00 p.m. Swarthmore will be the host for the entire tournament beginning with day two on Saturday, and the Championship game on Sunday.
