PHILADELPHIA – Swarthmore College's
Aidan Sullivan was selected to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Baseball Team for the first time on Wednesday. The team is voted on by the athletic communications offices of the institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Sullivan was a consensus All-Region Second Team honoree, garnering the award from both the American Baseball Coaches Association and D3baseball.com. He earned All-Centennial First Team accolades after leading the Garnet with a .403 batting average and 1.206 OPS. He tallied 54 hits, 13 doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 40 RBI, 49 runs, and 23 stolen bases. The senior ranked first in the region in walks per game, fifth in on-base percentage and runs per game, and 13
th in batting average. Sullivan was also a steady presence in the outfield with a .972 fielding percentage, committing just two errors all season and recording three assists. He produced 16 multi-hit performances.
Swarthmore finished the season with a 24-14 record, reaching a peak national ranking of No. 25.
