CHESTER, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's track & field teams had several representatives compete at the program's Last Chance Qualifier on Monday night.
Nora Blodgett led a trio of competitors with a significant personal record in the 3000m steeplechase as she continued to climb the national rankings.
Rose Teszler also put together a strong effort in the 800m run as she improved her personal best.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Blodgett broke sub-11 minutes in the 3000m steeplechase with a new personal record of 10:57.84. The senior's effort places her at 16th overall on the national leader board. Blodgett finished just 10-seconds off the program record as she earned a second place finish in the event.
- Teszler crossed the finish line at 2:12.58 to set a new personal record in the 800m run. The junior took one second off her previous best as she placed eighth overall in the race. Tesler's effort is currently ranked 26th in the nation.
- Trelstad also competed at the invitational with a top mark of 1.58m to place first overall in the high jump. The first-year fell just short of their personal record of 1.65m, which is currently strong enough for 26th in the nation.
