Women's Track Earns Several Top-Three Finishes at Ursinus

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's track & field team returned to action at the Ursinus College Outdoor Invitational on Saturday.

The Garnet earned a total of eight top-three finishes on the afternoon. Krystle Boadi and Alyssa Zhang headlined the afternoon as both earned a pair of top-three efforts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Boadi finished second overall with a personal-best effort of 12.66 in the 100m dash. She also placed second overall in the 200m dash with a 26:64 effort.

- Nora Blodgett earned a second place finish in the 1500m run with a time of 4:48.60. Madeline Farber also placed eighth in the event with a time of 5:24.20.

- Rose Teszler took home a second place effort in the 400m dash, while Kiara Abbey was fourth overall. Teszler crossed the finish line at 1:01.15, while Abbey finished at 1:02.55.

- Lily Fournier placed second overall in the triple jump with a distance of 10.22m, while Zhang was third with a top effort of 10.12m.

- Zhang was also third overall in the long jump with a top mark of 5.02m. Emma Chiao earned a top-five finish with a 4.91m effort.

- The Garnet placed four runners inside the top-10 in the 800m run. Alina Irvine led the pack with a third place effort at 2:25.31, while Gabby Johnson ran a 2:29.28 to place fifth. Quinn Basewitz and Emma Novak placed seventh and eighth respectively with times of 2:29.98 and 2:30.52.

- Jillian Provaznik and Emily Trelstad placed sixth and eighth, respectively, in the javelin throw. Provaznik had a top throw of 32.47m, while Trelstad threw for a top distance of 30.14m. Jordyn Bernard also had a strong day for the throws with a seventh place effort in the shot put at 9.97m.
