Indianapolis, Ind. - Swarthmore College Women's Swimming closed out historic 2022 season as they competed in the final day of the 2022 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday.
In the 200-breast event,
Gaby Ma swam a personal collegiate best time of 2:23.27 and a 30th place finish. The time also ranks Ma third all-time in the event.
Sophie Rotival finished in 2:24.86, while Annabella Board finished the event in 2:25.63, which is her second fastest time at the collegiate level.
On Friday, Boardman, Ma and Rotival competed in the 100-breast event. Boardman was the top Garnet finisher with a time of 1:04.45 and a 19th place finisher, while Ma added a time of 1:04.60 for a 20th place finish. Rotival swam a 1:05.68 in the event.
The Garnet wrapped up the season as the 2022 Centennial Conference Champions in historic fashion. This season's title was the first in two decades by the Garnet as they last won the Centennial Conference at the 2001-02 season. Swarthmore won the event in record fashion as they scored 950.5 points, which is the most scored by a team in Championship history by either a men's or women's team. The 353.5 point margin of victory by the Garnet was the largest by a women's team in Centennial Conference history.
