Indianapolis, Ind. - Swarthmore College Women's Swimming had two relays compete on the second day of competition at the 2022 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on Thursday.
In the 200-free relay, the Garnet earned a 26th place finish with a time of 1:37.37.
Sophie Rotival led off the relay with a split of 24.40, while
Cara Lee added a time of 24.32.
Gaby Ma added the exact same split as Rotival, and
Kaja Arusha anchored the relay with the fastest split of 24.25.
Erin Szuromi led off for the 400-medley relay that finished in 21st place with a time of 3:52.44. Szuromi started the relay off with a 58.10, followed by a 1:04.33 from
Annabella Boardman. In the third leg,
Ashley Wong recorded a 57.08 split, while Lee anchored the medley with a split of 53.34.
The 400-medley relay ranks third on the Swarthmore all-time list, while the 200-free relay is the fourth fastest in program history.
The Garnet return to the pool on Friday as they have three competing in the 100-breast for the women. Boardman enters the event as the 13th seed (1:03.30), while Rotival is the 18th seed (1:03.76) and Ma is the 23rd seed (1:04.16).
