Indianapolis, Ind. - Swarthmore College Women's Swimming opened competition at the 2022 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday.
Sophie Rotival and
Gaby Ma competed individually in the 50-free event. Rotival touched the wall in 24.23, while Ma finished in 24.87. Both times by the swimmers were season best, and faster than their seeded time.
The young relay of
Kaja Arusha, Ma,
Ashley Wong and Rotival gained valuable experience in the national meet in the 200-medley relay. The group, who did not finish, is comprised of two sophomores, a first-year and a senior. The relay finishes the 2022 campaign with the program record time of 1:44.86.
The Garnet return to the pool in the 400-medley relay on Thursday. The women's 400 medley relay enters the event ranked 20th. The team of Wong,
