LANCASTER, Pa. - After two days of competition, Swarthmore College Men's Swimming sits in second place of the Centennial Conference Championships. The Garnet were led by a pair of individual golds and a pair of silver medals.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS

Ben Freeman led the way as the sophomore earned an individual gold and an relay silver. In the individual event, Freeman swam 4:31.62 to win the 500-free. The morning session saw Freeman swim an NCAA 'B' cut, but he went even faster in the medal round to improve on that NCAA cut time.
- In the 200-IM,
Andrew Karpenko won the gold medal with a time of 1:49.18. Earlier in the day during the prelims of the 200-IM, the sophomore broke four records. He swam a 1:49.14 for the Swarthmore College, Centennial Conference, Centennial Conference Championship and the Franklin & Marshall pool records.
Jeremy Rockaway earned a second place finish in the 200-IM with a time of 1:50.70, which also qualifies as an NCAA 'B' cut.
- The 400-medley relay of Freeman, Karpenko, Rockaway and
Horace Shew swam an NCAA 'B' cut time of 3:19.10. This time ranks the group second all-time on the Swarthmore list. The team closed out the night with a second place finish to earn Swarthmore 34 points. The group of

Ethan Bergmann swam the eighth best time in program history with a mark of 3:24.62.
- The 200-IM and 500-free saw a combined seven times fast enough for Swarthmore's Top Ten All-Time list. Led by Karpenko in the 200-IM, Rockaway (#3), Wesley (#4, 1:51.98) and Shew (#7, 1:54.02) all join the top-ten list. In the 500-free, Freeman led the way for a time second all-time, while
Ham Williams-Tracy (#5, 4:39.66) and Bergmann (#7, 4:40.02) joined the top-ten list.

The Garnet return to the pool at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday for the fourth session of the Centennial Conference Championships at Franklin & Marshall.
