LANCASTER, Pa. - On the opening night of the Centennial Conference Championships, Swarthmore College Women's Swimming saw program top times as they won two events as Franklin & Marshall College on Thursday evening.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- The night started off with the 200 medley relay taking home the gold with the school record time of 1:44.86. The team of
Ashley Wong,
Gaby Ma,
Liz Gallagher and
Sophie Rotival set the new program record by a little over two-tenths of second. In the same event, the group of
Kaja Arusha,
Annabella Boardman,
Cara Lee and
Erin Szuromi swam the program's fourth best time in the "B" final. The team swam a time of 1:46.18 to win that final.
- In the 800-free relay, two Garnet relays swam the fourth and fifth best times in program history. The relay of
Lexi Duffy,
Georgi Mathews,
Sarah Conley and
Mackenzie Tucker recorded a time of 7:43.60 to earn 40-points for Swarthmore. In the second final, the relay of Lee,
Anna Lyn,
Vivian Guo and
Lauren Rohde swam a 7:45.69 as they earned 18-points for the Garnet.
- The 200-medley relay that set the Swarthmore school record was also an NCAA 'B' cut time.
- The Garnet currently sit in first place with 116 points ahead of the host Diplomats with 88 points.
