SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Swarthmore College earned four CoSIDA Academic All-District selections for women's volleyball, men's soccer and women's soccer.
Dani Pena (Economics and Religion) and
Trisha Razdan (Computer Science) were awarded selections for volleyball, while
Sean Nolan (Economics) and
Amelia Mounts (Computer Science) earned nods for men's and women's soccer, respectively. All four student-athletes also garnered All-Centennial and Academic All-Centennial status.
Pena and Razdan earned Academic All-District selections for women's volleyball. Pena earned All-Centennial first-team status as she established herself as a top setter in the conference. The junior led the conference with 8.78 assists per set - leading the next closest setter by nearly a full assist per set.
Razdan took a leap in her second year with the Garnet as she earned her first career All-Centennial selection. The sophomore finished second on the team with 233 kills and ranked ninth in the conference in kills per set (2.88). Razdan was also one of the most efficient attackers in the conference with the seventh-best hitting percentage (.267) in the Centennial.
Nolan was selected an Academic All-District selection for men's soccer. Nolan was a force on both sides of the ball as he blended his offensive playmaking ability with stellar defense. The senior had the best statistical season of his career with six points on one goal and four assists. Nolan started every single game for the second-straight season as he ended his career with 38-straight games started. Nolan earned an All-Centennial Second-team selection as he earned his second-career all-conference honor.
Mounts garnered Academic All-District status for women's soccer. Mounts finished second on the squad with 16 points as she tallied seven goals and two assists on the season. The senior ranks tenth in the Centennial in points and is tied for eighth in goals scored. Mounts started all 19 games for the Garnet and was incredibly consistent throughout the season. She posted a shot in all but two games and recorded goals in seven different contests, which led the team. Mounts was awarded All-Centennial honorable mention status this season.
