LANCASTER, Pa. - For the second time this season, first year Ellie Streeper has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week for volleyball, as announced Tuesday, Nov. 1st.

Streeper earned this honor following an excellent showing in the Garnet's final match of the season against Haverford. The Massachusetts native's defense proved pivotal in Swarthmore shutting out the Fords 3-0, with Streeper putting up a game-high 24 digs. With Streeper as a defensive anchor, the Garnet closed out their regular season with a 9-1 conference record, riding into the postseason on a seven-match win streak.

Streeper and the Garnet will return to the court for the Centennial Conference playoffs on Friday, Nov. 4th at 7:00 p.m. Swarthmore has secured a first-round bye as the No. 2 seed, and will host the highest remaining seed.
