COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Swarthmore College Men's Swimming received votes in the December poll from the Collegiate Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
The Garnet were ranked sixth in the CSCAA Northeast South Region. At the latest meet, Swarthmore won the Gettysburg Invitational.
Ben Freeman won the 500 free with season best time of 4:37.49.
Tristan Haeger added a third place finish in the event with a mark of 4:39.57.
Horace Shew finished teh 200-IM in second place with a mark of 1:55.85, while
Jeremy Rockaway finished in third with a time of 1:56.14. Freeman, Shew, Rockaway and
Andrew Karpenko led the Garnet to victory in the 400-medley relay. The group finished the event with a time of 3:22.57, which is fourth on the all-time list.
Swarthmore returns to the pool on January 15th as they host Worcester Polytechnic Institue and Rowan University. The Garnet opened the season ranked No. 24 in the preseason poll and were ranked No. 15 in the November poll.
