INDIANAPOLIS – Swarthmore College Indoor Track & Field senior Clay Conley will make a second straight appearance at the NCAA Division III National Championships.
 
They are one of 20 women's shot putters accepted for the event to take place at the JDL Fast Track on March 13 and 14 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
 
The senior enters the event fifth with a mark of 14.18m (46'-6.25"), which sits as the Swarthmore and Centennial Conference record.  Conley won the shot-put event at the Centennial Conference Championships, for the second consecutive year, with a mark of 13.29m (43'-7.25"). Announced on Monday, Conley received USTFCCA All-Mid East honors in both the weight throw and shot put events.
 
At last year's NCAA Championship, Conley became the 13th member of the Garnet women's track & field program to earn All-American honors. They finished in seventh place in the shot put event with a best throw of 13.66m (44'-9.75").
