SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Swarthmore College Baseball sophomore
Michael Sepe is the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his young career.
Sepe slashed .563/.632/.875 as the Garnet went 3-1 this past week. He went 9-for-16 with a home run and two doubles to go along with five runs scored and five RBIs. He didn't strike out at all, but he walked twice and was hit by a pitch.
The second baseman also recorded a perfect fielding percentage in 14 total chances. He turned four double plays.
Swarthmore is in the midst of a must-win game at Clothier Field against No. 21-ranked Johns Hopkins. If the Garnet win and Dickinson beats Muhlenberg in another game currently happening, then Swarthmore will make the playoffs have a chance to defend the Centennial title that it won last season.
