BALTIMORE--Swarthmore College Women's Track and Field scored 99 total points this weekend to finish in fourth place in the 2017 Centennial Conference Championship.
Sophomore
Kayla Camacho's gold medal in the 200-meter dash headlined the Garnet's accomplishments on Sunday. Camacho sprinted to the finish line in 25.21 for 10 points. Camacho received bronze in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.32 and as a member of the 4x100 relay team with
Lulu Allen-Waller,
Simran Khanna and
Sayaka Vaules that ran in 50.58.Â
Allen-Waller, Camacho, Beltran and Vaules scored five points in the 4x400 with a time of 4:04.41.
Maggie O'Neil won silver in the shot put with a throw of 12.46 meters. Her furthest mark equalled that of the gold-medal winner but O'Neil took second because of a tie-breaker. O'Neil later finished fourth in the javelin with a throw of 34.26m.
Claire Conley collected bronze in the shot put with a throw of 12.01m.
Rachel Vresilovic scored three points with a javelin throw of 33.68m.
In the 1,500
Lilly Price won bronze with a time of 4:42.25. She was able to pick off three runners ahead of her in the final lap.
Senior
Lulu Allen-Waller earned silver in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.81m.Â
Indy Reid-Shaw added a point for Swarthmore in the 5,000 with a time of 18:02.88.
Swarthmore improved two places compared to last season's sixth-place finish.
