EWING, N.J.—Swarthmore College Women's Track and Field competed at the Penn Relays and the TCNJ Lion Invite this week. At the Penn Relay's, Swarthmore's 4x400 squad of Jen Beltran, Lulu Allen-Waller, Kayla Camacho and Simran Khanna ran the race in 4:05. Maggie O'Neil competed in the shot put and had a throw of 11.53m. O'Neil would go on to have a much better throw at the Lion Invite with a mark of 12.82m there and would finish third overall and set the furthest throw in the Centennial this year. Clare Conley also threw longer than 12m (12.06m) at the Lion Invite and placed fifth.
The big story from Lion Invite was freshman Rachel Vresilovic setting a new Swarthmore score record in the javelin with a throw of 37m even. Vresilovic also had one of the school's top-five marks in the discus (33.6m).
Allen-Waller finished ninth in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.51 which is the second-fastest time in the Centennial this season.
Indy Reid-Shaw recorded a new PR in the 800m with a time of 2:19.11 and finished in 11th place.
Swarthmore begins the Centennial Conference Championship on Friday at Johns Hopkins University.
