COLDEN RESULTS
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa.–The Swarthmore College women's track & field team competed in two meets on Saturday, Feb. 4: the Frank Colden Invite hosted by Ursinus College and the Villanova Invitational in Staten Island, N.Y.
At Ursinus, freshman Louise Rosler finished fourth in the 800 with a time of 2:30.71 as classmate Sydney Covitz placed 10th in 2:33.57. Lily Price ran the same event at Villanova in 2:24.
In the Villanova 3k,
Indy Reid-Shaw finished in 10:18 while
Natalie McLaughlin was Swarthmore's top finisher at the Colden Invite with her 11:10.09, which was good for 10th place.
Senior
Lulu Allen-Waller finished just outside of the finals in the 60-meter hurdles with a seventh-place result as she was edged out by four one-thousandths of a second in the preliminaries.
Kayla Camacho led the Garnet contingent in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash as the team's top finisher, while
Jen Beltran placed 16th in the 400-meter dash in 1:02.83.
In the field events, freshman
Claire Conley topper her personal-best mark in the shot put with a distance of 10.99m as she placed eleventh.
Next week, Swarthmore travels to Haverford College for the McElligott Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 11.
