ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga.—Back on the links for the first competition since October, Swarthmore College Men's Golf challenged the reigning NAIA champions, the Coastal Georgia Mariners on Thursday.
On the par-72 Sea Island Resort Retreat course, the Garnet shot a 318 while the home team carded a 280. Coastal Georgia's Trevor Smith shot a 67 to finish on top of the leaderboard.
Dan Altieri paced Swarthmore with a 74, and
Michael Chen also finished under-80 with a 79.
Nick DiMaio carded an 81 and
Vamsi Damerla completed the course in 84 strokes.
