RESULTS
HAVERFORD, Pa.–The Swarthmore College women's track & field team opened the indoor portion of its season at the Jack Pyrah Invitational hosted by Villanova on the campus of Haverford College on Saturday, Dec. 3.
Swarthmore was the only non-Division I school to compete at the invitational, which also featured athletes from Villanova, Temple, La Salle and St, Joseph's, among others.
Sophomore
Kayla Camacho was the top finisher for the Garnet in the 60-meter dash, placing 10
th with a time of 8.37. Also competing in the event were
Jessica Lewis,
Lulu Allen-Waller,
Anise Charles,
Tessa Williams and Mirayda Martinez. Camacho also competed in the 500-meter run and came in with a time of 1:25.65.
In the mile,
Irina Bukharin set a personal best with here time of 5:27.48, which was good for a third-place finish.
In the field events, freshman
Claire Conley and
Naomi Bronkema placed third and fifth, respectively, in the shot put.
Swarthmore will take a break from competition before resuming the season at the Coach I open hosted by Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday, Jan. 14.
