FREDERICKSBURG, Va.—The Swarthmore College men's tennis team wrapped up action at the ITA Southeast Regional Tournament on Monday, Oct. 3 with a pair of semifinal losses in the championship singles and doubles draws.
In the first match of the morning,
Mark Fallati and
Josh Powell fell 8-5 to number one seed Arora and Levine of Carnegie Mellon. Fallati then faced off against Wilkes' Courtney Murphy in his singles semifinal and took it to three sets after dropping the first. After falling behind 4-1, the junior from Larchmont, N.Y. broke and held to get back on serve. Both players held, but Murphy was able to break and the take the match by a final score of 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
The Garnet resume competition in the spring with a tough slate of matches against nationally-ranked opponents across the country.
