CHESTERTOWN, Md.—Swarthmore College Men's Swimming took to the road on Wednesday evening for the team's first meet of 2016 but couldn't bring home the win against the Washington College Shoremen. The Garnet experienced their first loss of the season, falling 121-84.
The Garnet led off with a first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay.

Alejandro Hernandez,
Andrew Steele and
David Ranshous swam the event in 1:37.91.
Steele finished the night a triple-winner. He took the 50-yard freestyle in 21.73 and then won the 100-yard butterfly in 52.46.
Liam Fitzstevens added the Garnet's remaining win, racing to first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 53.08.
Swarthmore returns to the pool on Saturday against Gettysburg College for Senior Day.
