Box Score SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Washington College scored twice in the final 10 seconds of regulation and got a golden marker from Tyler Powers 3:09 into the extra session to record a stunning 10-9 overtime victory over the Swarthmore College men's lacrosse team on Wednesday, Apr. 22 at Clothier Field.

Andrew Preiser to go up 9-7 with 2:52 left, but the Shoremen fought back at the end of regulation. With eight seconds on the clock, Powers sliced the lead in half to make it 9-8. Michael Trapp then won the ensuing face-off and then found Stephen Goff, who made a quick pass to Stephen Luck for the equalizer with just 0.6 seconds on the clock to force overtime.
In the extra session, Washington College (6-8, CC 5-2) won the face-off and maintained possession for the entire extra session. After four shot attempts were unsuccessful, Sam Birnbaum found Powers for the decisive goal with 51 seconds on the clock to put an abrupt ending to a thrilling contest which featured four ties and four lead changes.

Matt Johnson also found the back of the net twice. Washington College was led by Luck, who netted five goals including the game-winning marker. Jackson Szurley made seven stops between the pipes for the Shoremen and Garnet sophomore
Cole Fox made a career-high 17 saves.
Swarthmore (6-7, CC 1-6) visits archrival Haverford on Saturday, Apr. 25 at 1 p.m.
